Intex Easy Set swimming pools
Easy to set up - no tools required Liner is supported by inflatable top ring
while the pool goes up by itself as the water level rises. Intex swimming
pools have convenient drain plug for easy emptying. Side walls are made
with 3 separate layers of material for extra strength and durability; two
outer layers of heavy gauge PVC laminated to an inner layer of polyester
mesh for extra reinforcement - a total thickness of 28 Ga. (0.71mm). Bottom
is 16 Ga. (0.41mm).

THE INTEX "EASY SET-UP" ALTERNATIVE TO STEEL WALLED POOLS
- Intex swimming pools are easy to set up-no tools required (filter pump
and ladder need a screwdriver for assembly).
- Intex swimming pools have SUPER-TOUGH sidewalls and are triple strong. Made
with 3 separate layers of material for extra strength and durability - two
outer layers of heavy-gauge PVC laminated to an inner layer of polyester
mesh for extra reinforcement a total thickness of 28 gauge (0.71 ).
- Separate laminated band provides additional wall support.
- Reinforced polypropolene ropes wraps around the bottom of the swimming pool
liner to keep the legs firmly in position.
- Convenient drain plug for easy draining. Connects to garden hose so the water
can be drained away from the Intex swimming pool area.
- New rust resistant galvanised steel frame for the new 18ft Intex frame swimming pool which is capable of supporting over 6000 gallons.

These Intex swimming pools require chemicals:
One thing that most suppliers of this type of above ground pool never seem
to mention is the use of chemicals. Even a smaller above ground swimming
pool has some of the same requirements as a larger swimming pool to keep
it clean. The filter alone will not keep the water clean and clear. The
addition of stabilised chlorine granules to the above ground swimming pool
is strongly recommended, also the use of algaecide to prevent the pool
from turning green is highly recommended. For these chemicals and

Which pool: frame or inflatable?
There are two design options for Intex pools, frame or inflatable (Easy Set).
Both pools are very easy to erect, and can typically last between 4 and 6
years if looked after. Easy set pools just have the edge in speed for taking
up and down, however a 12ft frame pool for example, is a true 12ft, a 12ft
Easy set pool although 12ft to the outside edge loses this on the inside
due to the inflatable ring, and so the internal diameter is more like 11ft.
Both pools can be repaired if tears or holes occur, however a big hole in
the ring may cause an Easy set pool to collapse. Which ever pool you choose
you can be sure that spares and repairs are readily available for Intex pools.
Other cheaper imitations come and go but Intex are still the original makers
of this type of pool and continue to lead the way with new designs and accessories.
