Chlorine Granules

Chlorine granules are chemicals for the easy disinfection and safe sanitisation of your swimming pool. You pool water should be kept chlorinated at all times to ensure that the water stays clean and healthy.

Stabilised chlorine is treated and stabilised against destruction of chlorine by sunlight.

Shock Chlorine is a highly concentrated chlorine used to shock your swimming pool water. Shock chlorine is ideal for use in swimming pools where the water has turned green, shock chlorine is very effective at at restoring clear water from algae infestation.

Adding chlorine to your swimming pool should always be done in accordance with the manufacturers directions on the container.

Chlorine tablets are a popular chemical choice for use when disinfecting and sanitising your swimming pool. Your pool water should be kept chlorinated at all times to ensure that the water stays clean and healthy. Chlorine tablets are an ideal choice for chlorinating your pool if you are using a Chlorine tablet dispenser.

Swimming pool chlorine tablets are available as 200g or 20g tablets.

Multifunctional chlorine tablets contain a clarifier and algaecide and are designed to break down over a period of 3-5 days.

Swimming Pool pH and Alkalinity Balance

Controlling the pH of your swimming pool with chemicals is important to maintain a healthy pool environment. The pH scale is the measure of acidity and alkalinity and is measured from 0-14, with 7 being neutral.

A high pH value indicates a high alkaline content, a high pH value can damage the effectiveness of your disinfectant (chlorine), scale formation may occur, the water could become cloudy and the capability of the filter might be reduced.

A low pH value indicates a high acid content. If the pH gets too low it is likely that corrosion will occur around the pool fittings but more importantly a low pH value may cause skin and eye irritation.

The ideal pH for your swimming pool would be a pH level of 7.2 - 7.6. To ensure that your swimming pool is the correct pH you should test the water regularly and if necessary adjust the pH with one of these products.

Clean N Clear Swimming Pool Algaecide

Clear �n Clean: Six month longer life algaecide is for use in swimming pools. This product will kill algae and most plant life found in swimming pool water. Clear �n Clean formulation is specifically designed to reduce swimming pool maintenance and control green, black and mustard algae. A single dose will, in most cases, keep the swimming pool water clear from algae for periods up to 6 months. Without the presence of algae, chlorine consumption will be reduced by up to 20%. This product is ideal where swimming pools are not used for long periods of time or where maintenance requirements are required to be reduced.

Swimming Pool Winteriser 5 ltr

This effective copper free winteriser will help prevent the multiplication of most types of algae during the winter. This product is compatible with chlorine, bromine and PHMB treated pools.

For best results it is recommended that this product is not used until the water temperature drops to 10 degrees Celsius or lower.
Ensure pool water is clear and free from algae and debris before applying Acti Copper Free Winteriser
Adjust pH level within the range 7.5 - 7.8
Shock dose the pool using Acti Rapid Shock granules to achieve a chlorine level of between 5 and 10mg/l (ppm)
Add this product directly to the pool near the returning water inlets with the filter running. For dose rates see table below
Where possible, allow the filtration system to run for at least 8 hours after application to ensure the product is well distributed throughout the pool
Periodically during the winter, it is advisable to check the disinfection level and if it is low, shock dose to increase it. This is particularly recommended in early spring as the air and water temperatures begin to rise

The Jolly Gel slowly dissolves as the swimming pool water passes over it on its journey to the filter. The Jolly Gel places a porous, clear membrane screen over the filter media, and penetrates the bed to an average depth of some 15cms. The glutinous structure will remove the finest particles of dust and algae spores.
