Like its little brother the small fibre optic lights star ceiling lighting kit, the large fibre optic star kit is ideal for dramatically lighting larger areas using fibre optic ends of different diameters to produce a "near and far" effect. Hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, showers, saunas, mirrors, bed boards, floors and fabrics are all ideal locations for this fibre optics light kit.

Many people want their fibre optic star ceiling kit to look as as close to the night sky as possible. To do this the recommended colour wheel to go for is the blue and white wheel, this gives a true twinkling star effect unlike the black and white wheel which causes the light to go on and off. Also the star ceiling kits include bullet end lenses which can go on the ends of the tails, these lenses mean the end is a bigger light, for the star effect we recommend that you mix the ends that pop through the ceiling, that is some will have lenses some won't ideally a ratio of around 10 small to 1 large, you can change this of course but what you're looking to achieve is a fibre optic star effect ceiling with larger planets dotted around, also the fibre optic tails are various sizes creating a near and far feel.

75w tungsten fibre optic halogen light source (285mm long, 100mm high, 152mm) with separate feed on colour wheel feeding 224 tail harness with a mix of 0.75mm and 1.0mm diameter polymer fibre optic tails. Kit comes complete with acrylic bullet lenses and silk screen washers (cad drawings pictured below). Customised colour wheels available. Light source requires 2 x 240v supplies, 1 for lamp and 1 for colour wheel control. Fibre optic star kit comes fitted with 2 x household plugs. Tails can have lenses fitted or be left bare, lenses give a larger light and most people use this option when fitting the kit. Drill size needed for lenses option is 3mm without lenses 1mm.

0.75mm diameter in groups of 20 tails of the following lengths: 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, 2.5m, 3.0m, 3.5m, 4.0m, 4.5m
1.00mm diameter in groups of 8 tails of the following lengths: 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, 2.5m, 3.0m, 3.5m, 4.0m, 4.5m
